The Challenge
Timber frame homes are a different kind of build. The structure is exposed, so every beam and joint has to look as good as it works. For this project, we needed to set massive beams and make sure the handcrafted joinery was tight and secure.
The Craftsmanship
We used traditional timber framing with heavy beams that carry the load of the house. This means we didn’t need a lot of walls inside, making the floor plan very open. We spent our time making sure every connection was solid and the wood was handled carefully so it would stay looking great. It’s about getting back to the basics of good building where the wood does all the work.
The Result
The house turned out solid and has a lot of character that you just don’t get with regular framing. It’s built to last a long time and gives the owners a unique home that feels like it was crafted, not just assembled.
