The Challenge
Waterfront homes have great views, but they also deal with a lot of sun and sudden rain. For this project, the family wanted a covered deck where they could sit outside and stay dry without blocking their view of the water. We had to build a roof that was strong enough to handle high winds while keeping the space feeling open.
The Craftsmanship
We built a custom roof that we tied directly into the deck’s foundation for better stability. We used weather-resistant materials for both the decking and the roof to make sure the structure can handle the salt air and seasonal storms. We also placed the support posts carefully to make sure they didn’t get in the way of the water views. The vaulted ceiling inside the roof gives the space a more open feel while providing solid protection from the sun and rain.
The Result
The finished covered deck is a great spot to watch the water in any weather. It stays cool and shaded in the summer and provides a dry place to sit during spring and fall rains. It’s a solid, usable outdoor room that lets the family enjoy their waterfront location all year round.
