The Challenge
Adding a large, two-story deck to a traditional home requires a design that doesn’t look like an afterthought. For this project, the challenge was to build a massive structure that matched the style of the house. We needed to provide plenty of outdoor living space on both floors while making sure the deck felt like it was always part of the original building.
The Craftsmanship
We used a consistent design for both levels to tie the whole project together. We installed a classic white railing system on both stories to match the white trim on the house. The foundation was built with oversized support posts and heavy-duty beams to make sure the top-floor platform is rock-solid. We chose high-quality, weather-resistant materials for the decking and focused on making every joint and transition tight and clean.
The Result
The finished two-story deck adds a lot of usable space for the family to host friends or just relax outside. By using the same style from the ground up, the entire structure looks like it belongs with the house. This project is a solid, practical addition that gives the homeowners two levels of outdoor space built to last for many years.
