The Challenge
Homes near the New Jersey shore face a lot of salt air, intense sun, and big storms. For this project, the challenge was to build a deck that fit the coastal look but could handle the harsh weather without warping, rotting, or fading. The family wanted a bright, clean space that matched the sandy colors of the nearby beach.
The Craftsmanship
We chose a high-quality composite decking in a warm tan color. To make sure the structure lasts in the salty air, we used stainless-steel fasteners and weather-resistant framing that won’t rust. We installed every board using hidden fasteners to keep the surface smooth and safe for walking barefoot. We focused on making sure all the joints were tight and the lines stayed straight, even with the constant ocean breeze.
The Result
The finished deck is a solid, low-maintenance spot for living by the shore. The sandy tones match the house and the surrounding landscape perfectly. This deck adds a lot of usable space that is built to stay in good shape through many coastal winters and summers.
