The Challenge
The family wanted an outdoor space that combined a pool deck for the sun and a gazebo for the shade. In Central New Jersey, the trick is building these so they feel like one solid piece rather than two separate structures. We needed to make sure the transition between the deck and the gazebo was smooth and level.
The Craftsmanship
We built this by tying the gazebo directly into the deck’s framing for extra stability. We used high-quality, moisture-resistant decking and heavy-duty wood for the gazebo posts. The goal was to make the gazebo look like it was always part of the deck. We made sure every joint was tight and the whole structure could handle the humidity and pool chemicals in the air.
The Result
The finished project gives the family a big area for sunbathing and a solid, shaded spot for eating outside. It turned a regular backyard into a functional space where everything matches. It’s built to last and provides plenty of room for both relaxing and hosting.
