The Challenge
The family had a great pool but didn’t have a good place to sit or eat around it. The yard felt disjointed, and there wasn’t a clear path between the house and the pool. They wanted a deck system that would tie everything together, giving them flat areas for lounge chairs and a separate spot for a dining table.
The Craftsmanship
We built a tiered deck system that steps down toward the pool. We used slip-resistant composite boards, which are a must for any area that’s going to get wet. The deck has wide platforms for sunbathing and a higher level for dining so you can see over the pool area. We framed every level to be extra strong to handle heavy patio furniture and groups of people. We made sure the deck met up perfectly with the pool edge for a clean look and proper drainage.
The Result
The new pool deck completely changed how the family uses their backyard. By building different levels, we created separate spots for different activities without making the yard feel crowded. It’s a solid, well-built space that turns the pool area into a much more useful part of the home for the summer months.
