The Challenge
This waterfront property needed an outdoor space that worked with the views of the water. The yard sloped down toward the shoreline, so we had to design a deck that followed the land while creating flat areas for a dining table and a separate spot for lounging. The main goal was to make sure nothing blocked the view from any part of the deck.
The Craftsmanship
We built a multi-level system that steps down toward the water. We used high-performance composite boards that can handle the extra moisture and sun reflection you get by the water. The top level was framed extra strong to support a heavy outdoor kitchen and dining furniture. We kept the railings low-profile so they wouldn’t get in the way of the view. We used hidden fasteners for a smooth finish and made sure every corner was cut tight for a clean look.
The Result
The finished deck gives the family a perfect spot to enjoy the water from different levels. By breaking the deck into steps, we created a natural flow from the house down toward the yard. It’s a solid, well-built space that handles the coastal weather while giving the owners a great place to entertain guests or just relax by the water.
