The Challenge
The goal for this custom project was to show our complete start-to-finish process. The family wanted a deck that looked great and was built stronger than the minimum building codes. They needed a structure that would stay stable and look good for decades, even with the tough weather we get in New Jersey.
The Craftsmanship
Good work starts where you can’t see it. For this deck, we focused on the frame first: digging deep concrete footings and building a heavy-duty, level frame. We used high-grade materials for the whole foundation so it will stay solid. We cut the decking and railing with tight joints and clean transitions. We didn’t take any shortcuts, from the first day of site prep until we tightened the last screw.
The Result
The finished deck is a solid, large space for outdoor entertaining. It’s built right and finished with a high attention to detail. In New Jersey, not all decks are built the same, so we made sure this one would be a perfect example of what a professionally built deck should look like.
